College Journeys services include support through every step of the college planning and application process, from academic advising and course selection through financial aid guidance and enrollment. Three different packages are offered of individual services, depending on where your student is in the application process.
For families who do not seek an individual counseling package, the 3 hour College Admission Nuts-and-Bolts Seminar gives practical advice and information for the college application journey.
Transfer Student Services Package
Students who wish to transfer from one college to another face a unique set of challenges. College Journeys will support this effort with:

- Developing appropriate school choice list

Underclassmen Services Package
It’s never too early to start thinking about college, so freshmen and sophomores may want assistance in the early steps of their college journey. Support includes:
- Evaluating extra-curricular interests
- Enrolling in college courses during their high school years
- Building a resume that will be used during the application process
- Academic advising and choosing courses that will enhance a student’s academic profile
High School Upperclassmen Services Portfolio
For juniors beginning the college selection process and seniors working to complete their college application requirements, support includes:
- Creating a college application timeline
- Assisting with composition of a personal statement and any necessary supplemental essays
- Developing a “college choice” list
- Guidance with recommendation letters
- Preparing for college admission interviews
- Financial aid information
- Helping to complete applications
- Guidance in making the final attendance decision
College Admission Nuts-and-Bolts Seminar
For families who do not seek an individual counseling package, this 3 hour group information session gives practical advice and information for the college application journey. Topics covered include:
- An overview of the college application process
- A discussion of essay topics and composition
- High school course selection
- ACT versus SAT test registration
- Special education issues
- Financial aid
